Trade a Mach 1 for a V6, this should be.....interesting!
To be honest though, the price seems about right compared to other Mach 1s of that gen. that I've seen for sale. So NP!

CP, Over $10k for an 11 year old Mustang? Mach 1 or not, this car isn't that special....

My buddy had a 2003 Mach 1 in high school, that was a cool car. However, the extra 31k miles is a significant increase. Idk, tough call.

Anyone that bought a v8 car and then modified it, is not going to be interested in a V6. That's a given.

Actually it is. Aluminum 4.6L DOHC block. Limited Production car. Fast little fucker. I can list many more reasons.
Also one big one is sentimental value. My father owned a 1969 Mach 1 when he was in College. I'm in college now why not we both have Mach 1 stories for the kids.

If I was in his shoes, like hell would I trade a mach 1 for a V6 S197.
In your shoes, if you can con him into doing this deal, you'd be a fool not to follow through.

I actually had someone interested in doing it but he has cash waved in his face and he took it.

I can't argue w/ sentimental value, but otherwise I feel if you're gonna buy a new edge Mustang, might as well go all the way and get a Cobra. The mach I is like a Cobra Lite.

A new Edge cobra usually costs 50-75% more than a Mach 1 or base GT. Granted, they're twice the car, but it's still a steep cliff that puts them in 2005+ GT territory.

really? that price is around average from what I have seen. I'm starting to see high mile terminators tap the 15 grand range

NP on this one. $13,500 is a good price IMO.

69 vs 03 though... The Edge style is not bad by any stretch on styling, but the 60's just had gobs more style...
And your V6 is rated at ~300hp, and isn't the 03 Mach 1 right there too?
Side by side, they are both good... But I can't justify the asking price in my mind for what it is.

O.o the '08 V6 is rated at 210 stock...and maybe with mods I am barely pushing 225hp.
Also 1969 cars are fuck tons more expensive.
